INTRODUCTION

Tiwala Kids & Communities is a Christian charity that seeks to portray God's love to the poor through kindness, care, nurture and practical aid.

Tiwala (meaning TRUST) is a registered Non-Profit, Charitable NGO in the Philippines (Bicol Region DSWD Reg. No. 05-216-08 / SEC Reg. CN2007046). Tiwala was officially formed in January 2007 and consists of seven Trustees and additional members in the Philippines and the UK. Strong relationships exist among our members and we all share a passion and commitment to this cause.

MISSION STATEMENT

Tiwala endeavours to unlock the potential in individuals and communities through a Biblical and holistic approach to developing spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual and social aspects.

"For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me." Matthew 25:35

BACKGROUND

The name Tiwala stems from a strong belief in Jesus Christ as the God in whom we TRUST. Our inspiration comes from God and knowledge of His love for mankind. We believe that through Christ, nothing is impossible and we will continue to TRUST Him and place Him as Lord of this vision.

Members of Tiwala have spent much time working with orphans, street children and children in foster care. Through this experience and exposure Tiwala has gained knowledge and insight into the pressing issues relating to such children.

After much deliberation and investigating the feasibility of prospective projects, Tiwala Kids & Communities has resolved to invest the time, money and resources needed to accomplish these humanitarian and charitable goals.
