Tiwala was thrilled to host a Christmas Party at Tiwala Farm in December 2007. Christmas time falls within the rainy season in Bicol, and a Tiwala trustee noticed that the children had only pieces of cardboard to sleep on with no blankets to keep them warm. We were able to raise funds to purchase blankets for 338 children and toys for 431 children.
We had three parties where we handed out the blankets and toys, creating much excitement among the children. What a joy to see their happy faces. On behalf of Tiwala and the children, thank you for making these gifts possible, as they not only brought physical comfort to the children, but made them feel very special this Christmas.
